Hello there! Lots of you have been asking on Twitter and through email about the status of the show, so we wanted to get some info out there! First of all, check out our awesome 2009 Sizzle Reel embedded above!
We've been spending a lot of time going to meetings and figuring out what the next move will be from a business standpoint for the show and for Smashface. From June 2008 to January 2009 we did 46 shows in 30 weeks, so we also needed a little break from the regular show schedule to keep our heads clear and to keep our energy level up around EPIC FU and the other projects that are in the works.
One thing we can say is that we're planning a major overhaul of the EPIC FU website. We're going to turn the site into more of a content destination rather than building it around a weekly video show, this way it can feel new and fresh every day! We'll still be making shows, but we're talking about ways to produce an updated format and presentation.
As always, we'd love to hear any ideas you guys might have about what you'd like to see from the website, blog, and the show. Just post them in the comments.
There are some other interesting things going on, too. We'll be at SXSW! We're preparing a separate blog post about that, but Zadi is on a panel and we will be working with PBS to interview filmmakers and content creators while we are there! We will also be rolling out a new show called Hacking Hollywood, six episodes of which will be shown on Next New Networks' WePC network. A separate blog post will be forthcoming about that, as well. There is one other major piece of news on the front burner, and it's a biggie, but I can't say much about it at the moment! Keep your fingers and toes crossed!
In the meantime, be sure to stay subscribed to the show so that you don't miss any videos. When we know what the schedule will be, we will post it on the blog. The next show, which will be our 150th overall, will be coming soon. Thanks for all your messages!
